Pueblo West is a census-designated place governed by a metropolitan district form of government in Pueblo County, Colorado, United States. Pueblo West is a quasi-municipal local government and governed according to Title 32, Article 1 of the Colorado Revised Statutes and other applicable laws. Pueblo West has a five seat elected Board of Directors that provide representation for residents in the same way a city council provides representation for a city.

As a metropolitan district, Pueblo West is faced with many limitations that municipalities simply do not have. Without sales tax revenue, Pueblo West is unable to provide the same level of services, infrastructure, and recreational opportunities that are common in similar sized municipalities. Unlike a city who can levy higher sales taxes and thus generate significantly more revenue, Pueblo West is constrained by revenues only generated by property tax and fees. The 3.9% sales tax collected in Pueblo West does not stay in Pueblo West, it goes to the State (2.9%) and County (1%). As a result of a low revenue structure, Pueblo West is constrained in the quality of services it can provide. Despite these limitations, Pueblo West continues to look for creative ways to increase efficiency and squeeze the most out of every dollar to provide the highest level of service possible.

Pueblo West Metropolitan District has a population of 30,655 according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The Pueblo Post Office (ZIP Code 81007) serves Pueblo West postal addresses.
